About Palm Bay

The city of Palm Bay is located about 10 miles southwest of Melbourne and about 70 miles southeast of Orlando, near Florida's Space Coast. The city had its origins as a small farming community and began to grow after the railroad came through in the late 1800's. The city was named Palm Bay after the nearby bay at the mouth of Turkey Creek, which is lined with Sabal palm trees and known as Palm Bay.
